Uplifting Salty Caramel Sauce

For the sweet n’ salty aficionados this is a phenomenal recipe! I like to dip extra salty pretzels into it or drizzle it over great ice cream topped with nuts. There’s really no wrong answer

Ingredients:

1 cup refined sugar

2 tbsp cannabutter

4 tbsp unsalted butter

½ cup heavy cream

1 tsp kosher salt

Recipe:

Note: it’s very important to use a pot with a thick bottom as it helps distribute the heat evenly and prevent burn. This recipe is super delicate so pay close attention and prep all the ingredients ahead of time

  1. Place the sugar into the heavy-bottomed pot. Cook on low heat until the sugar starts caramelizing
  2. Shake the pot a bit to make sure all the sugar is heating until an even brownish caramel is created
  3. Add the cannabutter and unsalted butter and gently mix, while cooking, until the butters have dissolved completely
  4. Add the heavy cream and stir well
  5. Add the salt and stir well
  6. Pour the sauce into a sterilized glass jar and keep sealed for a few weeks
